Hurricane
Sandy was one of the largest most damaging storms in our nation’s
history. I was hired to photograph several emergency crews working to
restore power in the lower Hudson Valley and on Long Island over several
days in the aftermath of the storm. This post’s images highlight those
efforts.

DESIGN: Wind Division Brochure
I developed this simple 8-1/2 x 11 trifold brochure for O’Connell Electric’s Wind Division to use as general handouts. The piece leverages brand images I have been taking for the company over the last several years and compliments a larger more comprehensive brochure I put together for the company which was targeted toward pre-qualified prospects.

PHOTO SHOOT: Cable Installation for Historic Niagara Falls High Wire Walk
During
six days in June, 2012, I was contracted to capture crews installing,
securing and dismantling the 1800-foot span of custom manufactured wire
rope for Nik Wallenda’s historic walk across Niagara Falls. This post
contains excerpts from those photo shoots.

PHOTO SHOOT: Ogdensburg Bridge
The
Ogdensburg-Prescott International Bridge is a mile-and-a-half-long
cable suspension bridge spanning the Saint Lawrence Seaway that links
the north-central border of New York State with Canada. I was hired to
photograph the bridge shortly after a $48 million rehabilitation project
was completed. Above: About a half-hour after sunrise the sun began
illuminating the bridge’s massive concrete supports.

PHOTO SHOOT: Grand Island Bridge Upgrades
The
South Grand Island Bridge is a pair of twin two-lane truss arch bridges
that span the Niagara River between Tonawanda and Grand Island New
York. It is the second busiest bridge operated by the New York State
Thruway Authority. This post contains outtakes from a photo shoot where I
was hired to capture crews performing bridge upgrades on a brisk January night.
